Ripe brown pears, a hint of sweet cinnamon spice (almost bourbon barrel sweet), sweetened cream with light tropical fruit. Palate brings more pears, followed by bittersweet citrus amalgam before falling away to spice. Some viscosity and breadth without being fat, but never goes too far into any camp. Enough of a Gris to make Grigio drinkers pause, but doesn’t quite carry the power when you need a Gris punch. Serve with grilled pink ling.
