Menu Choice

As the Director of Harvest & Soul – Catering & Events, Saxon knows just how important great food is to successful end of year functions. Saxon says that “grazing tables are sure fire way to impress your party guests. Our beautifully designed grazing tables are like delicious works of art and can become a great talking point at parties”.

Looking for something more formal? You can’t go past a traditional Christmas menu with all the festive trimmings. Harvest & Soul- Catering & Events puts a modern twist on traditional Christmas menus and uses local, seasonal ingredients to ensure a delicious dining experience every time.

Grazing tables are always a huge hit at corporate Christmas parties.

Delicious catering and great wine go hand in hand and a selection of beverages including a white, a red and a sparkling wine is the standard for most function venues. Including locally made wines or local craft beers will complement your menu and Saxon says that party guests ‘always enjoy a Festive Cocktail or handcrafted Mocktail – there’s nothing like a delicious signature cocktail on arrival to create a great first impression for party guests’.

Venue Choice

Choosing the right venue for your Christmas event is an important decision. With so many function venues, Australian event planners are really spoilt for choice! Saxon has been working with Australia’s best venues for many years and finds that most corporate event guests are constantly asking for unique spaces such as galleries, museums and beautiful, historical buildings. “We love seeing guests eyes light up when they experience our unique venues in event mode”, says Saxon. Working with an experienced caterer gives event planners access to venues they may never even heard of before – so it pays to consult with your caterer to get their recommendations on the best fit for your Christmas event.

Get in Early!

Finding the perfect date for your Christmas function can be tricky. Saxon stresses how important it is to confirm your Christmas party date with your venue or chosen caterer as soon as possible - Friday lunches and evenings are very popular from October till Christmas, as are Saturday evenings. Events with larger numbers should make securing an amazing venue the top priority as most venues will start to have limited availability from here on in.
